You need to apply to the local authority where your child lives. If your child lives in the Bradford District, you should apply through the online admissions system between 18 November 2024 and 15 January 2025.
If your child has a formal offset agreed and is therefore not born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, you will be unable to apply through the online system. If your child is formally offset and you have not received a paper form through the post by the end of November, please contact the School Admissions Team to request a copy.
Some schools require you to fill in a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) directly as well. This may have an earlier closing date than the council application.
Annual Allocation to Primary School (September 2025)
Below are helpful guides to support you through the online application process
The application process for secondary schools closed on 31st October. Guidance is available on the Bradford Council website, which you can access by clicking here.
All parents and carers who applied online will receive their child’s offer letter with any additional information required by email on 1 March (unless they opted out of this service). Emails will be sent out from 8am on 1 March.
All online applicants can also view their child’s school place offer from midnight on 3rd March by logging into their account on the online system.
Parents and carers who applied on a paper form or opted not to receive an email will have their child’s allocation letter sent out by Royal Mail, first class post, on 1 March.
If your circumstances change during the school year and you would like to apply for a place at our school, please read the guidance notes online at https://www.bradford.gov.uk/education-and-skills/school-admissions/in-year-applications/
If your application is successful, we will get in touch with you to book an appointment for you to complete the necessary paperwork. At this appointment, we will provide you with information about the school, uniform etc and arrange a further visit for you and your child to meet their new class and teacher.
APPEALS
Parents/guardians of children who are not offered a place have the right to appeal. Parents should contact the school office in writing in the first instance, within 20 days of receipt of the refusal letter. They should also contact the Local Authority who co-ordinate appeals for the school.
