Eden @ StOswald’s
We have two separate roles in Eden.
In the mornings, we work with children who are New to English to develop their confidence in using the English language. We work with children from year 2 to year 6 who are identified as needing support to develop their communication skills. Our mornings include a lot of speaking and listening, phonics, reading and writing. This, along with covering the key aspects of maths, ensures that when ready, a child’s move back into the full class is a smooth and successful one.
In the afternoons, we work as an Inclusion team who work with children who have additional learning, emotional and behavioural needs. We have a great base in school where staff are always available to help and support children and parents.
Take a moment to meet the team.
Mr Wiseman (Assistant Head Teacher) teaches in Eden in the mornings.
Mrs. Hood is the Eden Lead and would like to invite you to visit Eden.
Miss. Dakshinamurti is a support assistant who also works in breakfast club. You will usually hear her before you see her as she is always singing or humming around school.
Mrs. Lad is a support assistant who welcomes new children to our school and works alongside our interpreter.
Mr. Kalas is a support assistant/interpreter who speaks several languages and works with those children who are new to the country.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
