NEW RECEPTION STARTERS IN SEPTEMBER 2024

Parents can apply online at www.bradford.gov.uk/admissions.

 

The online admissions system will be available for reception applications from 14 November 2022 until 15 January 2023 children born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019. You will be able to view as well as amend your online application any time until the closing date of the admissions round. Receipt of your online application will be acknowledged via an automated email.

Only one application may be submitted for a child. Multiple applications will not be accepted. Please only complete a Bradford online application if you are a Bradford resident.

Applications for entry to Reception in September 2024: 16 April 2024

If you apply online for a primary school place, you will receive an email on 16 April 2024 telling you which school your child has been offered (unless you opted out of this service). Emails will be sent out from 8am on 16 April.

All online applicants can also view their child’s school place offer from midnight on 16 April by logging into their account on the online system.

Parents and carers who applied on a paper form or opted not to receive an email will have their child’s allocation letter sent out by Royal Mail, first class post, on 16 April.

If your circumstances change during the school year

If your circumstances change during the school year and you would like to apply for a place at our school, please read the guidance notes online at https://www.bradford.gov.uk/education-and-skills/school-admissions/in-year-applications/

If your application is successful, we will get in touch with you to book an appointment for you to complete the necessary paperwork. At this appointment, we will provide you with information about the school, uniform etc and arrange a further visit for you and your child to meet their new class and teacher.

 

APPEALS
Parents/guardians of children who are not offered a place have the right to appeal. Parents should contact the school office in writing in the first instance, within 20 days of receipt of the refusal letter. They should also contact the Local Authority who co-ordinate appeals for the school.

 

Admission Arrangements for Secondary Schools

The application process for secondary schools closed on 31st October. Guidance is available on the Bradford Council website, which you can access by clicking here.

When will I find out about my child's school place?
